Places to visit
Silsden
We are around half a mile from Silsden Town Centre.
Silsden is vibrant Yorkshire town, the town benefits from many shops, bars, pubs and restaraunts.
Haworth
Situated around 20 minutes drive from the site.
Haworth is a tourist destination known for its association with the Brontë sisters and the preserved heritage Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. It has a large array of tea-rooms, shops, eateries and cosy pubs.
Skipton
Situated around 15-20 minutes drive from the site. Also accessible by the nearby train Steeton/Silsden Train Station.
Skipton Castle is a gem; perhaps the most complete medieval castle in England. Making it the ideal place to shelter from the elements on a rainy day! The canal and the River Aire wind their way through the town. You’ll have ample choice of walks, restaurants and shopping to keep you busy for a whole day.
Ilkley
Situated around 15-20 minutes drive from the site.
The town is famous for its moor and you'll find fantastic countryside and walks for all abilities on your doorstep. The town is also home to one of the largest cycling clubs in the country. Ilkley is the ideal place to relax and treat yourself.

Walks
TipTop is perfectly located at the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales. People love visiting here because there is so much to do nearby without needing a car. We are surrounded by fantastic walking routes for all levels of fitness. Below is a fantastic local resources for walking routes.
Cycling
There is no finer place than the Yorkshire Dales to cycle with it's stunning scenery, quiet roads, smooth tarmac, wonderful dales and moors, great climbs and descents to name but a few reasons. See below for suggested local routes.

We are blessed to have some incredible food and drink options for all tastes. We have bistros, restaurants, pubs and cafes all within walking distance and further afield. You will be spoilt for choice, see below for our personal recommendations.
Historical interest
History is a huge part of our surrounding area, we have historical buildings, museums and monuments from all different ages and times. There is plenty to see and all within walk or driving distance.
Very locally we have Skipton Castle, Salts Mill and the Bronte Parsonage Museum.

Steeton Hall Hotel, Steeton
Well known in the local area for their tasty traditional pub food, they offer a fantastic carvery also, serving of the areas most popular real ales. Located around 10 minutes walk from the site.
The Counting House, Silsden
The Counting House is a Cafe Lounge Bar serving fine ales and good food in a relaxed atmosphere. Located around 10 minutes walk from the site.
The Duck Pond, Silsden
A small independent Bottle Shop and Coffee House serving craft beers, hand roasted coffee and homemade cakes. Located around 10 minutes walk from the site.
